✨ "The Rose That Found the Right Person"
Share
It was Valentine's Day, and I had an idea.
I bought roses — not for one person, but for whoever God put in front of me on my deliveries that day. No agenda. Just a simple gesture, ready to go to whoever needed it most.
One of my stops brought me to Edibles in Brookfield.
That's where I met Alanna.
I walked in and handed her a rose. Her whole demeanor shifted.
"Oh my goodness — thank you so much. I've been having such a bad day."
That's when I knew this wasn't just a delivery stop.
I leaned in and ministered over her right there at the counter.
"God loves you," I told her. "He sees you. And He's sending His grace down upon you right now."
She received it. You could tell it landed somewhere deep.
She went and got the Edible Arrangement order ready, and I told her I'd be right back. I stepped outside — and that's when the Holy Spirit made it clear:
The gift card goes to her.
So I grabbed one and walked back in.
When I handed it to her, she almost lost it. You could see it in her eyes — that moment where someone is trying to hold themselves together but the kindness is just too much.
"Oh, thank you so much," she said. "This means so much to me."
She wanted to do something in return. Asked if she could get me a chocolate dipped strawberry, something small. I told her no, that wasn't necessary — but she came back anyway with a little cheesecake and a dipped strawberry and sent me on my way.
Before I left, I spoke over her one more time.
"God's grace is coming down upon you. He sees you. He hasn't forgotten you."
And then I was gone.
A few weeks later, I came back for another order. Alanna saw me, and this time she told me what she'd been carrying that Valentine's Day.
"My mom had just passed away," she said. "And her birthday was coming up on the 17th — just three days away."
She couldn't tell me that day. She didn't think she could say it out loud without breaking down completely.
But a man walked through the door with a rose, a gift card, and a word from God — right in the middle of her grief.
She told me she's been telling everyone about it. About the encounter. About how the Holy Spirit moved through a delivery driver at exactly the right moment.
🕊️ Why I Share This
I didn't choose that stop. I didn't choose that day. I didn't choose Alanna.
He did.
The Jesus Fund isn't a program. It's a posture — staying ready, roses in the car, gift cards in the pocket, heart tuned to whoever God places in front of you.
Because you never know what someone is carrying behind the counter.
Stay available. Stay generous. You might be somebody's miracle today.
💬 Something to Think About
Has God ever used you to comfort someone — and you didn't know the full story until later?
That's not coincidence. That's His precision.
