✨“The Angel at the Police Department”

After I fractured my hip and my knee, I was using a walker and trying to recover while living in a lower flat — a duplex. I was technically on the first floor, but the driveway was full of broken blacktop. It was hard to walk across, especially with a walker.

The front door had fewer steps, but it faced the street. The back and side doors had more steps and were harder to manage. So I tried to figure out a way to park on the street out front to make things easier and safer.

In my city, you’re only allowed 15 days of overnight street parking per year, and that’s it — no exceptions, no extensions. Or so I thought.

I’d already used up some of my days, and each time I called to register my car for overnight parking, I talked to someone new. I explained the situation to several of them — my injuries, the condition of the driveway, the difficulty of access — but no one really helped. They were polite, but I was running out of days, and no one offered a solution.

Until one night, I got Bailey.

She listened. Really listened.

After I explained the situation again, she didn’t just log my request — she stepped in.

“Do you have anything from your doctor?” she asked.

I said yes, and she said,

“Send it to me. I’ll take it to my supervisor and see if we can get you a special parking pass.”

That had never been offered before.

I emailed her the letter, and within a short time, I had an annual pass to park on the street — something I was told was impossible.

It allowed me to safely enter my home through the front door instead of struggling over uneven asphalt with a walker.

And the following year? She helped get it extended again.

🕊️ Why I Share This

Bailey was more than helpful — she was an angel sent by Father God in my time of need.

When people think of miracles, they often expect lightning bolts and parted seas. But I’ve learned that sometimes miracles look like a kind voice on the phone who says, “Let me see what I can do.”

Father God knew what I needed — and He placed the right person in the right position to help me.

💬 Something to Think About

Have you ever felt like someone showed up in your life just when you needed them?

Take a moment today and thank Father God for that person — and if you still can, thank them too.

Because no encounter is random.
Every interaction is part of His master plan.
